Just back from Cassington Bike Night, 1000's of bikes, bumped into some old friends so perfect end to the day!
It's a case of My Little Company with him; he's a bit young. Can't blame him for trying, but he's pushing in totally the wrong direction.
Work, that was it really, standard Monday in the office. Might head for, Its Not Poole bike night tomorrow between Sixpenny Handley & Cranborne
As I sat in the living room my five year old grandson shouted at me from the back door. "I can't hear you if you're shouting from outside." I said. Again, he shouted back. "I told you, I can't hear you from there. It's rude to shout. If you want me to hear you, walk into the living room." I replied. A few moments later my grandson appeared in the living room. "Grandad, I've got dog shit all over my shoes."
Just had the staples out of my knee, a somewhat unpleasant experience, but have been through far worse. Some slight infection in one of the incisions, but it's very minor, so a course of anti biotics to sort it out. Ok to return to work next week. Consultant wasn't thrilled when I asked for the ok to drive, but as my car is an automatic it's ok if absolutely necessary.
I just had to take an online induction test so that I can work on Virgin Media sites. Bloody nora, it was ridiculously hard Only passed on my third attempt:Shy:
Last night I went to see"Tonight's the Night" . Musical based on Rod Stewarts songs.. Mostly entertaining, but a lot of ladies ' of a certain age' . Thankfully, they had all resisted the urge to pour themselves into leopard skin spandex..... Some good singers and generally a good show, albeit only half full theatre. Only time I have been given a hat as I entered a theatre.... A sailors hat for Le grand finale -Sailing.... I looked a bit like this, but with more muscles and man appeal, natch.....
I actually went for a bike ride tonight, my usual 80 mile circuit with a stop-off in the middle at Loomies. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Most interesting bikes seen were: A near-original CBX1000-6 (always a fun bike fun to see) A bitsa-bike with an exhaust system that appeared to have been adapted for riding in five feet of water and An early R1 with MV Agusta organ-pipes. People are crazy The good news is that I am remembering (at last) how to get the bike turned - makes corners that much more enjoyable and ... uh ... cornerable
just come back from manchester airport to pick up wife & kids. eldest (11) straight on his playstation and the twins (5) with the mobile phone games. wife sorting clothes out upstairs and me on laptop. all's good!
just rebuilt an st170 top end that's been here for a month. i have one m8 nut left over. starts alright sounds alright. think i will wee it.
Just ridden 300 miles to Yeovil and back, with the standard saddle. On Sunday I rode 300 miles to Wolverhampton and back, using the air cushion. The air cushion is definitely better - less aches.
Collected the CBR decals from the post office. They came from moto-sticker.com in Bulgaria. Only took a few days to arrive and are of excellent quality. Well worth the £61 they cost as opposed to the £600 the same decals round gave cost from Honda.
For a red and white 1992 600 fn, being panted in the crisper cleaner 91 fm red over white colours. Should be on the road next spring This is what we are aiming for..... This is where we are at the moment... Bodywork is at the paint shop now (well, the usable bits, still have a couple of panels to source) then it's decal time, then back to the paint shop for clear coat.
