  1. Wife came out pillion for the first time in over 20 years probably. And tbh after we got out of town it was like i was riding solo, lovely pillion. Part of me is sad my freedom has just been eroded a bit, but then it means I can do more riding if she comes along ;)

Finally got this painting, that I bought in 2012 mounted and hung on the wall.

The £45 I thought was a great but became £260 after import duties then framing and mounting with some fancy glass. Worth it though, in my opinion as it looks great. The guy that painted it has some real talent!

Edit: it's a print of a painting, not the original.

  3. You paid £260 for a print?

I bet its about A2 size maximium.

    More money than sense.............

You could have an original of mine as a better deal.............

  4. Today, I am busy continually swatting away hordes of pollen beetles and billions of thunder-flies.............And now all the ants' nests appear to have become very active at the surface, so I guess at about 6.0pm - 7-0pm the air is gong to be full of them too........

......I hate effing insects, particularly flying ones...........

  5. No, I paid £45 quid for a print, from japan. About £60 in postage, import fees. Then £160 to get it framed. As stated in my original post.

  6. Still a print ;)

    I even hand deliver mine........

Besides, they won't go through the letter box.....

  7. You don't paint detailed pictures of motogp bikes ;)[IMG]

  8. Nope..........

I paint detailed pictures of anything..........

Here's one from 33 years ago..........I think that may be a Yamaha;)

  9. Took pity on Harley rider I found pushing his "hog" along the A69. Poor sod had set off for the first ride for a while, expecting to fill up at the local filling station, and ran out only a few miles from home. Having feared a heart attack judging by his colour, we took him home and returned with fuel. Hope he enjoyed the rest of his day. Feeling righteous now!

  11. Packing up my clothes & stuff because I am flying to Greece tomorrow for 10 days to visit my parents & to lay on the Mediterranean...total cost for myself & girlfriend flying 1st class is a whopping $160.00 return...damn that is pricey but having a girlfriend that is a flight attendant has it's benefits lol!

  12. Ive just got back to the hotel after a full day of beer drinking and watching nutters on obscene bikes ride ridiculously fast at crazy lean angles. What a trip!

  13. I've been north to take a top box up to one of my best friends for his forthcoming holiday to France. Then I popped over to see my mum.

On the way back I went into Leeds to meet SWMBO and another friend in Browns restaurant for a late lunch. SWMBO was tasked with finding out with what's going on in his life as he's recently finished with his long term gf of 12 years, plus he's got "a cancer of his blood" kinda thing going on, which isn't pleasant, and some other friends have been concerned about him. Anyway he seemed very chirpy about everything. And apparently the treatment he's getting is working. Which is good!

I've been home for the past hour and a half watching The Big Bang Theory, waiting for the footy to start. :)

  14. Can't beat Browns, did you order Steak Frites

  15. No. I had crab and avocado stacks (x2). They were only alright I'm afraid.

  16. Is that surprising? How many food miles involved-not exactly local produce.... Those crabs walked a long way to market for your delight....

  17. They could have saved themselves all the effort :(

  18. I thought they all had crabs in Leeds........

  19. The smart crabs did, piggybacked on the shoulders of the one s they served you. Anyway, how is the yorkshire avocado industry -on the up? The good old Alligator pear enjoying the climate?

  20. Avocados are native to Yorkshire. They used to be called 'av a car? doh!
