Oh, ordered a new phone today! That broke the day up a bit. Can't ban work, who would block the roads at 5 o'clock
Bank holiday in my canton today (some of these bank holidays vary by canton, but it tends to even out over a year). I went to the gym for the first time in 4 months. I know, but with all the gardening, I don't really have time in the summer (the gym isn't very nearby). It wasn't too bad. Then I went to the shop to work on an Excel file for my start-up. A big Excel file is a nightmare on a 13", but on an iMac 27" it's a whole different story. There was, of course no one in the shop which was closed. Cool. I found a cupcake in the fridge which I ate. The wife of our technician is experimenting with cupcakes with a view to starting a business, so every day we get to try new ones for free. They are delicious. So I got loads done and felt relieved and quite pleased with myself.
I came home from work and my wife said, "I washed your England shirt for you today." I said, "What England shirt?" She said, "The red one that was in the frame on the wall. Whoever Bobby Moore is, tell him to stop drawing all over your clothes."
Found out I have a broken leg from falling off the mutley 3 weeks ago, think I'm going down to the hospital where I had an X-ray 24 hrs after falling to start a complaint, and they didn't even want to give me an xray but I insisted.
Finally come to terms with the imminent demise of my 50th birthday present to me, now 10 years old with 150000 miles on the clock. The cost of the bits that need replacing now exceed the value of the car so time to buy something else. My girlfriend found a car in Autotrader which we went to Letchworth to see this afternoon and well you can't take it with you so we pick it up this Saturday. A March 2014 registered Seat Leon estate with 15 miles on the clock direct from Seat. Feel like a small boy waiting for Christmas despite saying 10 years ago that I wasn't going to buy another car. When I fell off my bike in Oz in '87, the hospital insisted on x-raying me despite my protestations to the contrary. They said it was their policy, or a legal requirement or something, to always x-ray bikers who had had motorcycle crashes. I could tell my knee wasn't broken, but they x-rayed it anyway. Then they told me that it was broken (what???). Saw a specialist a few days later who told me it wasn't. Bye-bye plaster.
Worked from home today again (Doctors orders ) all week in fact (again). Was in for a delivery of T45 steel tube though so it has it's advantages! Managed 30 mins of power-filing my project frame at tea time but then the leg ached too much, the project is going to take a while :Wideyed:
First day back after two weeks off but spent the night camped in the bathroom with a stomach bug. So worked from home instead. Feel pretty washed out (literally).
