no hangover . nice might run the fugly down to oban to day to park it up for the winter, seeing as the weather hasn't turned crappy.
We'll, I've just been out on the 1198. The roads were mainly dry, but there was enough wet and greasy bits for me not to enjoy the ride anywhere near as much as I usually do - and hoped I would. I think it's made my mind up about if I need to mot the Monster though. I was considering not bothering for a couple of months but have changed my mind. I need a Ducati for my v twin fix but think that would be more suitable to the conditions and time year!
Bacon roll brekkie , spin out on bikes wantz on new Monster, brisket in oven been cooking all afternoon & just made a chocolate sauce pudding Oh now catching up on Moto gp
Found out I need really flat head allen disc rotor bolts to enable shimmed disc to clear rotor bolts...
Did a lot of miles on the 750 today, in the sun and in the rain. Didn't meet anyone I know, somehow, despite being at Bogs Ill twice and Loomies twice - must have covered 250 miles at least. I recommend the Guinness cake at Loomies (bit pricey though)
Nice ride out on the GSA and a big "Smithy breakfast" at Monyash. Mmmmmmmmmm ! No need to eat for the rest of November now.
Now chilling out to some of my mate's relaxing and slightly strange guitar-based music, accompanied by an equally relaxing Chilean Shiraz. Slightly tired and buzzed by a day spent in the saddle. A fabulous end to my week & a half holiday from work
Worked all day but got the bike out for 30 mins this aft. Fitted the under fairing speedy moto crash bobbins and fitted the ecu cable extender (thanks to @chrisw) so I won't have to remove the side fairing next time I need to connect the computer.
Ring of red on the M25 today, did a full circuit because I could and the weather was great ! Quite an emotional experience.
got up this morning and turned on the BBC News to find Carol Kirkwood giving the weather forecast. Can't remember anything about the weather, but she was wearing a very tight purple dress
Have just picked up my distilled plum schnapps. There is 7 litres of it - result! The distiller once again told me that this was a great volume from the barrel and that it is high quality. Now need to let it mature for 3 or 4 months before being able to drink it. So that goes with my 10 litres of kirsch. The apples in my future apple-schapps barrel are fermenting nicely now that it is inside (too cold in the barn). So that will be going to the distiller in a week or two. Yesterday I discovered a peach tree in my garden. Last time I looked, it was a peach twig, now it's 2 metres high. A neighbour gave it to me as a twig in a small flower pot. So I transplanted it to replace the dog-rose I took out. Superb. I have also shifted about 7 barrowloads of excellent compost from the heap at the bottom of the garden to the veg patch. This stuff has been years in the making, but now it's just the most amazing growing medium. I will be expecting a very well-stocked freezer next year. Get the Ducati out? In this weather?
