Firstly, to say that all accidents could have been avoided is not the same as saying all accidents can be avoided. Junctions are dangerous places and in many bike accidents no other vehicles are involved. The point I was trying to make is that we have to take greater responsibility for our own safety and not rely upon other people behaving as they should. Did you get given a copy of Roadcraft on your Bike Safe course, have you read it and if so what did you think about it ? Sometimes shit does happen and sometimes we are unlucky, but we can significantly swing the odds in our favour by our own actions.
Don't get the ' I such thing as accident' at all. If so, why is everyone in the NHS A&E not charged with some kind of negligence offence or every driver who accepts liability not charged with no due care and attention?
