I think the pictures flatter it slightly but I'm please with it so far. Waiting for a bike lift to arrive so that I can change a few parts and clean the difficult to reach areas before Nelly gets his hands on it to finish it off with a full service and his magic touch. Not even sat on it yet and itching to mate rubber and tarmac
Just been out on mine for the first time this year, the weather's getting better , don't delay. Steve
Its desperately in need of belts having only been run up to temp for the first time in 6 years. As tempting as it is the potential repair to an SP engine brings you down to earth quickly.
Yes, I've been asking myself the same question. The thing is, until I have a barn knocked down and rebuilt into the man cave I only have space for 2 bikes / 3 at a push. I had really sorted the 998S and it was an absolute joy to ride but the chance of a very early 916SP1 couldn't be turned down so it had to go. I guess my rationale was that its easier to find another 998S once the barn is rebuilt but SP1's are quite rare. Good question though. Thanks
