Speeding Fine - Usa California

  1. There is no consistency from one state to the next. It's not even consistent in one state. My son got a speeding ticket in Wisconsin and ignored it. It eventually dropped off. My nephew ignored his in Wisconsin and now 7 years later they just garnished his wages. Apparently he could go over there though and drive the Federal highways and be okay but if he would get pulled over on a state road they had a warrant for his arrest. My sister had to pay hers on the spot...in Wisconsin.
Sometimes you can go in and have the fine reduced. Consequences are allover the place. A friend of ours couldn't get into Canada for a while because he bounced a check when he was a kid. That stuff can stay with you and pop up when you least expect it.

  5. Good article. Applying behavioral principles considering resources, punishment and reward, how it applies to survival, what works. There is no one method that will work for everyone. How bad does one want it and what can be tolerated to get it. I've spent the past 15 years helping people train their gun dogs using reward based training-no shock collars. There has been a major shift in moving from negative to positive reinforcement in that arena over here (not so new in Europe). I can't tell you how many times I've been told, by those using primarily punishment for training, that when pressure is removed from their dogs everything improves. It's pretty basic psychology for survival. Applicable to everything.

  7. I got one about 11 years ago near Joshua Tree state park. 79 in a 55 Sheriff Buford P Justice wasn’t amused when I asked him how he’d measured my speed simply pointing at his car and saying ‘ radar ‘.
I offered to pay on the spot but that was obviously in the too difficult box so got a court date three months ahead. I tried to explain that I wouldn’t be flying back just to attend but he just gave me the ticket and drove off presumably to Dunkin Donuts.
I’ve been back to the states every year since then and nothing has happened.
