We don’t really have a car thread apart from this one? https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/mc25/lots/r0001-2001-ferrari-f2001-the-schumacher-crown-jewel/
If i recall correctly that ginger knob Chris Evans in his hey day had a collection of Ferraris all of which he had painted white
Yep. 600 BHP, 205 mph and 0-60 in 3.7 seconds, but he couldn't/wouldn't pass my Mini. I'm not claiming to be some sort of reincarnated version of Jim Clark as I was out-braking him into bends, because tbh in that situation I would give someone space too just in case they did something daft and I ended rear-ending them, but when you get to the straights, to just sit 2mm away from the rear bumper of a car with a third of the power is pretty pathetic.
One of my “mates” has one. It’s the second one he has owned. Both in a really crappy grey. I think he uses to once (twice at most) a year to drive to a local posh hotel with his Mrs for a meal. It’s a little sad imho.
What kind of idiot buys an expensive fast red Italian thing that they don’t have a fraction of the talent to extract its full potential from? Ahem….
Thats sad to hear. I hired a Ferrari F430 for an easter weekend for my 25th - in the 4 days I did something like 1400 miles. I see some for sale now with less miles than that some 20 years later!
That’s why these days I’m usually to be found on a 250cc 2 stroke Gas Gas dirt bike or a DT175 and failing to extract their full potential too!
What a waste. I’m on a mission to use my Beetle as much as possible, and do as many road trips as I can.
