I have a 02 St4s which in a attempt to slow myself down I am converting into a cafe racer type bike without a fairing. Now to tidy up the exposed wiring I would like to get rid of the imobiliser which I believe can be done with an ecu reflash. Is there anything else tied into the ecu (in particular the original clocks) which the bike needs to run?
If your bike has the analogue tachometer and speedo with the digital display below then you will be able to disable the immo in the ECU and start modding. A dash with analogue inputs etc.
As it has got analogue speedo and tacho it should be ok to delete imolibiser? How do I go about getting that done? Once that is done I can remove the original clocks?
