My mum's kitten came home proud as punch with a cleaned and prepped trout one morning. The fish was as big as him. But there are only 14 houses in 3000 acres of land, and no-one admitted to losing their dinner, so christ knows where he got it from.
No idea about the ice plant! One of ours once brought a bag of peeled prawns in through the cat flap. I found an odd prawn on the living room floor, and then found the rest of the bag. Someone must have left them out in theit kitchen defrosting. Other odd things ours have brought in over the years: a piece of toast, strimmer plastic cutting strip, wire ties, two halves of a slow worm as well as the odd bird and a regular supply of mice.
One of mine has twice come home with a stoat...........one dead, one alive........ The live one bloody well attacked my boot when I saved it.........there's thanks for you.
Our three are frequently fed from "pouches". These plastic bags about half the size of a packet of crisps. Lupus managed to open a kitchen cupboard door and brought one to our bedroom. Being easily equipped to open it he did so on our carpet. Pity he can't also read or he would have seen it was "Polish spices".
I was once told by a very sincere lady that her two cats (big fluffy pedigree things the name of which escapes me right now) never stayed outside much at all and definitely not at night. That was until this particular day the both of them constantly whined at her to let them out which she duly did. They did not return at all that night. Needless to say the poor dear spent the night worried out of her mind as to what had happened to her beloved home loving that never stay out cats. Well later the next day the pair of them returned as though nothing was amiss and continued the boring regime that was their life. It wasn't until later that week that she put all this strange behaviour into context when she realised that the night the naughty pair had stayed out was the night the UK suffered the earthquake that did so much damage. Well I was amazed! Should have given them a good talking to, perhaps a bit more I said, there was no need really, was her reply, as they have never done it since. This may be hard to believe, but I can assure you it is true.
A Siamese who once owned us used to accompany my Dad when he walked our German Shepherd. It used to talk to birds, too, as it watched them from the window.
I ve got a black and white one, like Chars. When he was little,he used to herd worms in our kitchen!Got up one day to find at least a dozen worms in there.
They eat grass and stuff like that to make themselves sick same as dogs do, obviously not feeling to good. My cat is loyal very rarely leaves the house and when she does normally comes home with a prezzy for daddy normally a mouse and always alive. She caught a starling once but couldnt get it through the cat flap so left it on the doorstep.
