Streetfighter 1098s Exhaust

Discussion in 'Streetfighter' started by Hood49, Nov 13, 2016.

  1. You must have a fault code showing on the dash if its just been removed. I think there is an eliminator kit but that only fools the ECU into thinking the valve is still connected. It doesn't "turn off" the valve control programme and it doesn't adjust the fuelling. A remap is better.
Diver, there are other tuning shops but Bristol isn't so far from Hertfordshire. Worth the ride across.

  2. Thanks for that...yeah I'm concerned you can't just disconnect that stuff (intelligent people got paid well to design that stuff) so it has to be adjusted some how, sadly Bristol is quite a trek for me (I'm on the Essex/Herts?Cambs border..there is a Ducati dealership about 7miles from me might give them a bell and see what they would charge to set this up

  3. Well the "mid-pipe" gets delivered with the Austin. So the original mid-pipe has gone with the valve. I disconnected the cable for the valve and funny enough I do not have any warning light on my dash.

The lambda is connected mind you, if I remember well.

    Have you received your pipes?

  4. BSD Performance in Peterborough also remap Ducatis. They're not Ducati specialists like Louigi but they've got a rock solid reputation. I take my KTM to them.

  5. Thx for that...well I spoke to Ducati today and my local dealer does not have the facility to do a re-map but I asked if removing the "fuel whats a ma thing" and the floppy thing would cause any issues? apparently not in fact might make it a bit more powerful...hmmm well there ya go

  6. well I ordered an Austin Racing exhaust on March the 14th and quite frankly their customer service is appalling. No contact from them no expected delivery time no nothing. I phoned them before Easter asking for an update and they told me it was the next on the production line....still seen and heard nothing. Have contacted PayPal and asking for a full refund. This is of course MY experience and Im sure others will have had a better transaction than myself. Once I get my refund (if I get it) I'm gonna order the SC Project exhaust

  7. Oh Bugger! Anything I can do about that besides ordering a new one?

  8. :(

  9. I ordered an Austin Racing can back in August. It was delivered in two days. Excellent service and communications.

I think you're having a bad run ordering stuff. Unfortunately shit happens.

  10. Just smash the flap out and ditch the sensors. You don't need those
