  1. Mr. SmartArse :Angelic: to you...and it's pseudo (meaning insincere person <pretentious> ...pretend if you like).
It has a silent "P"; like in Bath.

  2. I actually meant the other way around..:Asshat::Asshat::Asshat:

  3. Either way you were correct.

  4. So is mine....they are lovely...I get old ladies stroking my chin like a 4 year old...saying the bike is lovely...best way to pull a bird (NOT a Granny); bar having a really cute puppy in the park. Don't tell the missus.

  5. sorry for thread hijack i will dispatch these two PSEUDO intellectuals later.

  6. I think you meant 'those'.

  7. no i didn't.

  8. Oh yes you were. 'These' assumes something near you. 'Those' assumes somethings that are not. I am miles away from you geographically.

  9. Sorry...we should stop now...the newbie did ask for our help and may not be used to our silly ways.

  10. Did you get the owners manual and service books with the bike docs.Have a good mooch through it as they contain lots of useful info especially the maintenance and main maintenance operations sections.

  11. Anyway, back to ME! ;-)

Here is under the seat (thank you) and the side stand, I assume all is normal here.

Which bit do I need to wrap in a carrier bag to stop them getting wet? Is it the two connector boxes under the riders arse?

I have learnt that the little holes where the tank bolts down like to fill with water.

  12. Mr. Newbie....
Assume that you are asking the 3 or 4 children at the back of the class for advice:rolleyes:.
They may be messing about as they already know everything and are bored

    or

know nothing and cannot follow the thread...

    none or both may apply...

but it may explain our behaviour :Hilarious:.

  13. Sorry for confusion I just wrap a plastic bag to cover the fuel pump relays WHEN CLEANING.Worth a squirt of WD40 in there now you have the seat up.

Also although owner manual states to take bike to dealers for chain adjustment you can do this at home. You will need the c spanner in the tool kit.And you must get the torque correct on the two swingarm pinch bolts.

At the top of the sidestand there is a bracket. If bike starts to lean more check this as one of mine had cracked most of the way through and started to bend.Luckily this was spotted before it gave up completely.

  14. Matt, no service book but I did get an owners manual (whoop!) so I will give it a look through when I get the chance.

  15. Mr. @Cream_Revenge you have purchased the most beautiful bike in the world.
Stand is normal...never sit on it side saddle.
Others will answer the other question and I'll try and be good until the end of class.

  16. Thanks Matt, confusion averted and I will follow suit as its so easy to get up.
    Bootsam, thanks for the link.
AirCon, yes she is. As Old Big Head would have said, "If I had to make a list of the most beautiful things in the world I would put her in the top 1".

  17. Can't see mine in the list, only the 996S or SPS which I believe have different engine parts (not that I will be going in there anytime soon when I took all day to figure out how to get the seat up!).
