I can relate to that. It’s pretty much that same reason I hate the 916 and it’s bender wanker swingarm crowd so much. Back in the 90’s I’ll never forget the way they’d just sneer and look down their nose at you because your bike didn’t reek of considerably richer than yeow. Sneering, arrogant, self entitled auto felating chain wanking nob noshers to a man they were. And from some of the threads on here, in 20 years nothing has changed. nope. Not for me. Leave the to their frothy cock and laaaarrrtay and be done with it.
Exactly how I'd have said it when I did a couple of Ducati track days in the late 90s. I made sure to overtake as many as I could in the corners on my yellow 900SS
this is really difficult to word, and post but let's just say that you can't look at a really expensive immaculate motorbike and claim to know what the owner is like, you really can't. There are and were, a lot of decent lovely people who go to and were at Newlands yesterday, and I would be happy to introduce them. I've been involved with and run many car and motorbike meetings over the years and one thing I didn't tolerate was the cliquey brigade, you only have to get talking to people, it's that simple.
Can’t be doing with talking to people Chris, I might actually end up liking them. Perish the thought.
.. Had a leisurely poodle around the lanes, and made me think perhaps it's time to sell one of the bikes, I just said to Viv, unless you happen to live next door to a race track, then what's the point any more?
Stopped in at Box yesterday. A mate is showing his bike Sunday at Ardingly Showground which isn’t a million miles from Rykas. If anyone wants to go there, look out for the Team Alf's @motounion24 stand inside & John Brookes new Harris Ducati.
I keep trying to ignore the lure & howl of a good Rocket3. I'm guessing that's a Rob North frame?? Rode, but sadly couldn't afford, an early Trident in the mid 70s and it felt like it was turbine-smooth compared to my 650 twin. Still time...
it is, and @Pete1950 can fill you in with more details, it has a belt primary drive I believe, and there is a picture of the other side on the "other bikes" thread
