That reminds me - staying in a hotel I went down to dinner on my own - walked in and it was Valentines night - every table was couples, and me sat on my own. The table next to me was an openly gay - camp male couple that everyone had noticed. They invited to join their table - they proclaimed dramatically that I could not sit there all sad on my own and pull up a chair and join their table. Politely I said I was okay, but they insisted I should not sit there all sad on my own. So I joined their table. They were very entertaining, funny and charming really - great fun. Eventually the manager joined us as well ! That was very nice of them to consider me sitting all on my own and ask me to join them. Very funny evening.
