That's the dream buddy, just need a bit more space first. Currently have a '98 900 Diversion that needs a light restoration, that will hopefully turn into a Multi 1100S at some point next year.
Its lad logic but it works....if i wasnt allowed to "keep buying bikes" id be bankrupt now.! This is my thought process... One owner rider - buys bike....rides for a while - see's the next best thing in the local showroom...seed is planted and more often than not as that starts to germinate the want, to get rid of the bike means the selling price comes down...or, more often than not some sort of loss is taken... takes out loan, pcp, whatever...rides bike for a bit then repeat in a year or two.... Ive got one bike of each different type of bike that i like... Small supermoto - SXV550 Sports - RSV4 Naked - z1000 Big Supermoto - Hypermotard 1100 evo sp The exception - my late fathers 400/4 - its my dads bike so when he passed away i bought my brothers out and renovated it...that'll stay with me for as long as i can... Being able to choose a different bike to ride means, i never get bored with one bike...the RSV4 i used the least and when i do use it...its an occasion it really is even after 12 years of ownership. Stops me wanting other bikes....i love the new SuperDuke's but, ive got a z1000 full kitted out exactly the way i want it dripping with all the good stuff...forged wheels, upgraded suspension, QS, heated grips....why would i want anything else, totally reliable and goes like fuck (mapped with a full system) and thats the case for all the others... KTM supermoto, hyper 698 etc etc...id say my SXV is still the top of the pecking order when it comes to power and weight..i can absolutely confirm its the most mental bike ive ever owned...same for the RSV4 - ive got no real want for another sports bike - mines more than enough for me... If i didn have the above id be like some of my mates and go through a bike every year or two and pay through the nose for it... Lad logic: it works!
