I thought Sandwich Spread came in a jar and had chunks in it. Tasted like sick, and as gross as it sounds, was quite nice? Salad Cream goes great in a sarnie too. I often have a Leerdammer cheese, ham and a dollop of salad creme sarnie.
I don't like the stuff. It overpowers and its all you can taste. I don't know if food has improved in the Army but a few years ago you could always spot an ex squaddie no matter what he ate it was always drowned in Brown or Red sauce or both. Salad Cream serves the same purpose
