Are you suggesting it is ok for the Scots, for example, to wave the Saltire but not ok for the English to wave the St George's flag? On the question of whether a particular demographic comes from or resides in Kent, I'm sure some do, just as some will be from Essex.
Quite on the life safety systems in Scotland then? I’m sure nobody gives a toss where you have traveled from to do whatever you do because its work related and that was just what the prime minister was doing, he was doing his job. Its just that a lot of people as usual used it to stir up the shit that they love.
like the team that devised his Cumming, sorry, cunning plan? there is a Gov briefing every day. jurno after jurno asks the same questions. last week why are you falling behind with the vaccine program, and do you think its a good idea that the PM (and hangers on) visit during lock down. jurnos put their spin on it, frothers froth.
My trip was legal because life safety systems in hospitals or any building must be maintained by law. BJ’s jolly was not required by law or essential. I don’t understand why you are getting so upset about it
Why wasn’t it? From your point of view it wasn’t but from the point of view of the front line staff and members of the Armed Forces maybe it was. Have you ever been in a theatre if war where some shiny arse visits? At the time its a complete pain in the arse but afterwards theres usually a general feeling of ‘well at least he made the effort’. its not just about you and how you see things.
Couldn't give a rats arse what folk get up to in Scotland tbh pal, but English flag nonces reek of the mail, Farage, brexit and yaxley lennon "and for that reason I'm out" Oh and yeh Essex is a racist shithole too that's why I'm about 6 weeks away from moving to rural Peak District
so drinky, for non political reasons then? (even tho everyone else does that via Zoom) but thats not what the visit was about, tho i get why folks elsewhere think that. he was campeigning. pure and simple.
So you think meeting frontline staff via Zoom is an option do you? As I said in my previous post, these visits are looked upon as a complete pain in the arse but could you imagine having a load of staff stood in front of a camera and a laptop? Yeh that would be practical wouldn’t it. Of course its political, everything he does is political, he’s a politician. Fucking politicians getting paid for being political. How long would it have been before the SNP accused him of being scared to visit Scotland and for being Westminster focused? Cheap shots are just that.
chill. and yip, i do.the prevelence of covid is far higher down his way than here. messaging has proven to be the significant factor for this. the FM has been confined to her home, Parliment and the daily covid briefing since lock down. how long before he is accused of being scared to visit? probably when the Express needs a new story.
the people complining about the visit are those that have been in lock down for a year. press ask the question, the FM gives her oppinion, the press get a sizable amount frothing.
That's the same Boris that was sacked from a job at the Telegraph for lying, the same Boris that was sacked by Cameron for lying, the same Boris that said "There will be no border checks on goods goig into Northern Ireland", the same Boris that promised a World Beating track and trace system, the same Boris that can't actually say how many children he has, the same Boris that claimed to be recruiting, the same Boris that told us he'd rather be Dead in a Ditch than delay Brexit, is that the Boris you would rather have running london? How's his garden bridge coming along? What about those bendy busses and water cannon?
I’d sooner see Boris as London mayor as well. Firstly, and most importantly, he would no longer be PM and can do much less damage. Secondly, I no longer live in London. Thirdly, I’d gladly see the back of Khan as his attitude to motorcycles stinks.
I think we need to step away from opinions and points of view. We need to focus on the law. It is the law of Scotland as legislated for by the Scottish Government. The head of that Government is Nicola Sturgeon. If she says it is illegal, then it is illegal.
