This Will Be Different

  1. Great bike up close. This along with the gin on the Kawasaki stand are the main things I remember from the bike show.

  2. No worries Portboy, it's not everyones cup of tea. I havent told the wife you said she is ugly yet.
    The box comes with the race pipe, different front sproket, levers, passenger seat, different ECU and some other stuff.
    It came with a battery charger and the rear stand as well.
    Put 50 odd miles on her today and lets say that was an experence, I didnt want to stop riding it.
    The biggest things i noticed right away was the short gearing with the smaller front sproket and how light and small the bike felt. Next was the sound when on the pipe which was really good and the agressive position with the raised clipons.

    It should feel the same as the Tuono as the are both naked sport bikes but it feel completly different if that makes sense. I love my Tuono and I hope I can keep them both.

    It's mental, cant wait for tomorrrow.

  5. Yeah, that was just a shite show. TBH I was a little worried about MV as well.
    Cleaned it up a bit this afternoon, finally a sunny day around here.

  6. Apart from those wing things around the rad, I like it, although I should I’ve had a couple of their 800’s and I’d have another in a heartbeat as a 2nd bike. TBH MV’s are very “2nd bike” kind of bikes?

    does the race pipe do away with the whole 4 pipe arrangement or is it to replace the centre box tree hugging thing?
     
  7. The pipe does not do away with either, it just looks and sounds better and I believe it only give 4-5 HP increase.
    I agree its a 2nd or even 3rd bike option, I can only imagine how long it will take to get parts. That being said I put 80+ miles on it yesterday in the twisties and it handled like a 250, it seemed so light verses the Tuono and the Duc's. Might all be in my head but keeping it around 6K rpm until 300 miles will be a right pain in the arse.

    I finally did figure out how to adjust the suspention yesterday after many goes which is good as the ride in sport is hard let alone race. Their are all kinds of bells and whistles on the thing to figure out.
     
  8. Mine were truly scary to ride when I got them, the Brutale more so than the Stradale. The suspension was so poorly set up from stock it would tried to throw you off at every corner. Vastly improved after I got someone who knew what they were doing to fettle with it. A bit of a dark art imo.
     
  9. Im clueless with suspension setup. Thanks christ for factory reset when I completly make a hash of it.

  10. Not sure your side of the pond but this side, we have a number of suspension specialists that can for around £70-£150, spend sometime with you and your bike and get the standard suspension set up just right for you and your way of riding.
     
  11. Same over here, usually I take the bikes to a track day and have it done there, I'll see if they he will come by the shop as I have a couple of bikes to set up.
