  1. :punch::astonished::yum:)

  2. I use race shift too..makes life a lot easier.
I find having the lever set horizontal the best fit.

  3. I agree but need to fit the rearsets and set their position before aligning the gear shift. Same with the brake.

  4. The whole bike is in a trial fit stage waiting for the fairings. Once the fairings have been fitted then the bike will be taken apart and re assembled with new bolts and torqued correctly.

  5. What paint job..race rep or road?

  6. It’s going to be 1999 996Rs Infostrada WSBK livery.
Similar to Foggy’s bike of the same year but without the foggy ID

  7. Nice..was you tempted by the Imola rep?

  8. Yes very tempted.
Same engine rear and front suspension disks and brakes etc. but I have a “Red Only” policy for the bike shed :)

  9. E96BF0D0-B8E8-4A02-8977-FF0D658BD527.jpeg Final fairing fit highlighted that the oil cooler was too far forward so will have to make an adjustable stay. Also the carbon instrument pod will need a little surgery so that everything fits correctly.
Once that’s done It will be the belly pan and then the decals

  11. Almost finished,....

Not a big fan of decals so thought I'd stop at this for a while at least.

  12. Very nice. What fuel cap have you fitted?

  13. The tank thats on the bike at the moment is a 1996 MS Production carbon race tank with MS Production solid carbon filler cap.
I have a later 1999 MSP carbon tank with the depression for riders chin that will be fitted later which also has a solid carbon Filler cap.
    And also a new one if you need one? IMG_8319[1].JPG IMG_8323[1].JPG IMG_8321[1].JPG IMG_8324[1].JPG IMG_8325[1].JPG

  14. Mate that looks amazing! Feels like it's taken no time at all to build.

  15. It’s not been easy, there have been times when I could have walked away but firing it up for the first time made it all worth while.
It sounds like the devils dog barking :)

  20. I have a set of 54mm twin injector throttle bodies that I was going to use but decided against that for now at least.
Did'nt want to go larger than 54mm for fear of losing lower down torque and lessen the life of the engine unneccessarily.
So what I did was to machine the height of a set of 748R shower injectors down so that they fitted into a pair of 2002 RS inlet manifolds. The 44mm restrictions within the throat was then machined out to suit and I added the pink injectors from a 1098 all running on a 16M ECU with 748R EPROM.
I have downloaded the 748R ECU program from the EPROM and made an emulator which will replace the chip in the ECU so when on the dyno the fuel map for each cylinder can be optimised on my PC whilst the engine is being run.
Once the best map has been established I can then burn another Eprom with the new map and drop it into the ECU.
