NO!! just NO! any mackrel is cat food and not fit for human consumption... I realize the Scottish are a lil skint right now but there is still standards which must be maintained man!!! we do not eat cat food....
its none of the pish you get down london way thats caught in the mingin channel. honestly, it makes all the difference. fresh mackrel, straight out the atlantic and straight in to the vinigar and lime. man man man.
Atlantic? you mean were all the shit funnels to? no thanks.. I eat fish from nz.. where we use theu slimey mackerel as bait to catch something eatable...
When you catch the male, all the females -often five plus in the group- hit on any lures in the water. In the caribbean when you hook a Dorado and he jumps clear of the water (males are a different colour to females) we would never reel him in until every line on the boat was in the water so we would catch all the females too. So a variety of recipies are handy!
