748 Top Speed

My 748 showed 140 top speed on a track

Never seen that on the public highway obviously

 

^^^ come out on a ride, we can sort that

 

I'll be up for a rideout once it's running again

 

It must have been one hell of a track.

omg it was Stanforth. Catalyuna ! The main straight which comes off a real fast righthander

seemed slow though cos gixer 1000's were buzzing past on most laps

that was when i was single and self employed. Great experience

I may or may not do this speed on the road of course

 

Why not. It's legal on the Isle of man

 

I could regularly see over 150 out of my '97 BP! Took some winding up past 120-130 and needed a good stretch of, erm, tarmac shall we say. But still one of, if not the best sound in my motorcycling life having a 748 flat out for miles.
I'm built like a 10 year old girl though and weighed about 9 stone in my leathers back then which kinda helps.
