Trackday Tyres

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by Haydn, Oct 6, 2015.

  1. I know this has probably been discussed to death but the search isn't coming up the info I need.

I currently run SC1 or SC2 supercorsa's. I have no real reason to want to change as I can get decent scrubs fairly cheap but.... I've never tried slicks and fancy giving them a go.

I'm not sure which slicks to try, I've heard mixed reviews on the super bike pro's with some stating that they are less grippy than the SC dot suppressor's.

I suppose the question is, is it worth trying slicks? and will i keep the heat in them? I run around a 1.53 at Donington GP.

Any help or experience would help

    Cheers

  2. If its a track only bike absolutely get slicks. Dunlop KR108&106 are tops. Expensive though. Obviously you'll need warmers too.
