Maybe they took the view that while he was gadding about taking out other members of known criminal families, they didn't need to get too involved, and things would sort themselves out I'm not one for conspiracy theories but stranger things have happened? Can anyone tell me how a bloke with access to grenades (yes grenades FFS!) and a pistol and ammo would otherwise be allowed to go about whatever he did unless they were turning a blind eye?
