Ahhhhhhh the penny drops, my sullenness is due to not being able to ride I get fuccking grumpy in the winter. 6 weeks work to be able to afford to fill bike up with a tank of petrol, I'll double those wages and you can be my personal car mechanic
Yes but I bought termis second hand and other stuff and wangled deals - Prob cost 2.5k on a 9.5k bike but I could take a lot off and sell if i decided to sell the bike - I've had 17k of pure enjoyment and it looks a fair bit different to stock - Probably spent less than smoking 20 a day over 3 years ! Christ I'm justifying again - stop it. !

only joking ya dude.. could have bought a new 899 for what I've spent on a 748bp with 0 resale value... yes these bikes are lovely as is and in years to come will be worth more standard and un-ridden but thats not really the point of being a biker i think.. I know exige, there is a place for investment bikes..... but if its your ride do with it as you wish.. (just no gold bits.. or red)
Filthy habbit Saying that I got a shock at the shops. Says to girl behind counter "200 Sterling, red super kings please" When I get home and open them up it is no longer 200 its 190 the packets are 19 only now. Spoke to one of my neighbours and they said yeah thats right changed 2 -3 months ago.
Go ahead, fit as many fancy, expensive upgrade parts as you like, but always keep the original bits safely after you take them off. One day, perhaps several years time, you will find yourself fitting all the original standard bits back on.
No ofence taken mate, one mans trash pile is another mans gold mine. I did buy it with the intention of investment, like other Duc S & R versions depreciate for a few years then appreciate. I have a streetfighter to ride but hell I want some pleasure out of the 1199 to or it would have been completely pointless buying it and that's not me, I don't do pointless.
All stored in a sealed plastic container so far and will continue to add to container. Some of the stuff was actually transferred from my 899, rad guards, tail tidy and ASV levers, which I forgot to add to the list
