Hello, i currently own Ducati Panigale 899 with Termignoni exhoust although I am really thinking on getting something newer hence thinking about Ducati Panigale V2 with Akrapovic exhoust (slip on) 1. How would you compare them? 2. Which one sounds better/louder in your opinion? I am basically concerned that V2 (even though it has Akrapovic) will sound quiter / not as good as my current 899 Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, thank you
the Akrapovic is louder on the V2 versus the 899 with Termis, but the honest view having owned both and now having a 899 again, is that the V2 just isn’t worth it. I don’t know what more to say, the sound overall is similar, the Akrapovic I think has a touch more bass. a random thing is that I think the Termis are less susceptible to damage, marginally than the Akrapovic
I bet they are front exit Termis? Although there is a new style termi exhaust for the V2 designed to be quieter. if they are the front exit ones they are REALLY loud… as they have half the length baffles
Tidiest looking pipes ive seen on a v2 tbf 2021 Ducati Panigale V2 955 ABS EVO 955cc for sale for £13,490 in London, Greater London (autotrader.co.uk)
Yep terms are a deal breaker for me. Had them on other bikes (RR). The stock v2 exhaust is vile. Utterly vile. The akras are good but not termis. They would fly off the shelf’s if they started making them. There was a 899 on AT with stock pipes with a termignoni sticker on, cor imagine how gutted you’d be if you bought it
Yeh agreed, ive had termis on both my 899's and had Akra on a 959 which i liked the look of slightly more but if im honest the sound didnt quite resonate like the thunderous and joyous noise you get from the termis.
I wonder why these termis look so different to the ones in that link from AT? Used Ducati PANIGALE V2 for sale in Winchester | Moto Rapido They look more like those pig ugly arrow pipes you used to be able to buy for the 899!
Termi only list the pig ugly side exit can plus the absolutely gorgeous wheelbarrow system for the v2. I’m a bit weak on Termi knowledge but are the underbelly jobs on the AT one in Chiswick genuine Termis or just a sticker? They look a bit gash to my eyes. EDIT. Just compared them. I guess they are genuine. I’m not sold on them personally. But maybe that’s because I love the wheelbarrow system.
