Not a difficult job to switch them over, but I found it all a bit fiddley. PITA if you want to try do that regularly. Two panniers and an SW Motech tail bag sees me right. Turn up at the hotel, chuck everything in the room, good to go.
I'm in the market to change and have a V4S Multistrada and visiting dealer tomorrow and will thrash out a deal on the new 2025 Pikes Peak however he has been dangling a carrot of a used RS with under 900 miles and a full system on it for the same price as a brand new PP with system - I'd like to know how stiff is the clutch? The insurance cost is nearly double though
Know exactly the bike he has. I bought same guys SP2 and part ex my RS for it. loved the RS and clutch no problem.
Sorry. My Rs is in same dealer with 4k miles - unless he's sold it now. I swapped it recently for a Sp2 that had been owned by same guy that owned this 900 mile RS. In fact Same guy who owns all the exotica up for sale at Seastar. Will be a cracking bike and Q was about clutch which I never found a problem.
Ahhh makes sense now he has offered me to test ride and RS so that could be your bike - I know the owner of all the bikes and that is some collection What was your opinion of the RS compared to say a PP - why get rid of the RS ? Be interested to hear your opinion
My Rs doesn't have full system so slightly different. Loved the Rs but he offered me cracking deal on same blokes sp2 with full system, loads of other bits, 200 miles etc and more suited my kind of riding. @Multirider75 done good comparison review that I agree with
Time to put the cat amongst the pigeons. When I take my girlfriend’s Monster down for a service, I’m being given a 2025 V4S to try as an alternative to my 2024 V4 Pikes Peak Andy
Now up to nearly 500 miles, it’s beginning to loosen up a bit now. I’ve got used to the slight lack of torque, compared to the Pikes Peak, but in a higher gear, it’s bloody bonkers. Flip flopping down B roads at triple figures, it’s like being in a video game. I’ve not ridden anything like it before. I didn’t stop laughing all day.
Or a BHP Tune , way cheaper and as good ... even better as stealth rather than a big band following you all the time +14BHP on a STOCK Ducati Multistrada V4 RS Euro 5 | BHP UK Custom ECU Remapping
I checked with my dealer , no issues at all , they even supply the bikes to BHP and chatted with them over the warrantee. They said all fine as the bikes are running to Gretas Law so why not run them as they should , ie the EVO Map principle. They were happy , so , so am I and also legal / insurable and 2K plus better off . Simples
So, the dealer and your insurance company have both seen copies of the new dyno chart, and are both happy?
Did not have to show to the dealer as he is already aware , so good there as they supply bikes to BHP UK . Insurance were happy as no more that 10 % gain on overall power as compared to the standard bike , as this is what they wanted to know , they just asked again is the bike still road legal , which it is. Save your cash on the noise can and get a good up map and be covered. You will get the torque back where the RS has it missing , as did the PP / V4s
For the V4s it was £499-00 for the flasher and the modified map. I think the Rs version is more around the £850 mark.
