  1. Hello all,

Went to my Aprilia dealer to have my 2024 RSV4 serviced yesterday and they have a V4R from 2023 for sale priced at 30k€.
    She's done 4900 kms.
Seems in perfect condition and has not been tracked.
Anything guidance from you chaps on what to look out for and what can i expect in costs over the next 5k kilometers?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Is it a first or 2nd gen v4r? The latter has a smaller clutch pack and gets through them at a greater pace.

  3. I don't know the generation J0n. It it easy to tell?

The side pods on the lower faring, less angular tank shape, rear sets are black.

  5. If it is a 2023 V4R the red with the no 1 on the sides then it has the smaller clutch.

Not really an issue only like other dry clutch Ducatis knackered through poor clutch use.

Does it have std exhaust, does it have std dash display, why is a relatively new Ducati in a Aprilia dealership, what tyres and rims like showing any details of frequent tyre changes?

  6. So it's the second generation then. thanks Jon. It has a 12 month warranty so any gremlins that appear should be dealt with.

  7. Hi Andy....
It has the Akropovic race exhaust.
There was no signs of heavy usage. Looks like it has been loved. I'll certainly give it a good going over should i decide to go forward. I had all the Dukes (apert the Desmodici/Superleggera) from 996r to the last panigale v4s with the single sided arm. Then i left for Aprilia. I have had 2 RSV4s and an Extrema. They are truly great machines, may i add.
But i've been caught in the headlights by that V4R. I'll sleep on it a bit.
Here in France machines aren't shifting very quickly due to the economy (probably like everywhere else) so i have time to do my homework - hence ive come back to this forum after a long absence.
All this information from you guys is so valuable so a big thank you to all of you. Much appreciated.

  9. If it hasn’t been tracked it should be ok but if it has been a track bike then it is ready for a big expensive rebuild
