900 Miles is impressive. Valencia to Bilbao in a day on the 899 nearly broke me lol. Windy as fuck in the mountains too. I was sooooo cold and tired at the end!!
The wind over the hills was ridiculous and it was down to 4 degrees, but that 1600 nailed it, boring as fuck for everything else but good at that
I went two ways, on the way down, followed the coast from Barca down past some small refinery and the wind was the worst I've ever ridden in. So on the way back up, went over the hills towards zaragoza and the wind near the wind farms was even worse !! Literally riding in the middle of two lanes getting blown to the extremes of each lane. All good fun though and I think it was 940 odd miles by time I made St Malo. Wouldn't fancy doing it on a sports bike...
I fly out on Friday also, boxes on the Start/finish. Getting out isn't too bad but getting on race day 2 years ago was a nightmare but all fairness to the police they handled it pretty well. Staying in the old town again to enjoy the night life, I'll send Dovi your love.
I guess it depends on if you want to see the warm-ups. I went a few years ago and drove in without any drama. 2 years ago when it was the Marquez vs. Rossi title decider I queued for maybe 90 minutes on the motorway, got sent around the back of the circuit and ended up parking miles away from the SF straight. I'll probably leave the old town on Sunday around 7am it's about a 30 min drive without the traffic so I'm factoring that in and going to Starbucks enroute in the old town first.
I was there in 2015 when Rossi started at the back because of that dick head MM and i hope Rossi plays games with him this time, (thats if he can catch him) Take sun lotion as i didn't and burnt my handsome face Have a good time.
Finally got to the hotel, girl on reception is a massive MotoGP nut, loves Rossi but really wants Dovi to win... and she’s Spanish!! Think it might be a good trip, roll on FP3
