fair enough ,, i dont blame you ( but to be fair the EU are a bit heavy on espania also ) , but be carefull with the " you ",, i am in scotland and we were not brexit !!.... i also do a lot of biking in espania, but it is mountain biking,,, i have a friend who runs a mtb centre in basque land ( Basque mountain biking ,, find on google ),and had some fantastic times with him,,, my current favourite tho is a 30 k downhill off road from Ronda down to Marbella.......

yep,, Lagavulin,, used to live near there,, many years ago,,,, oh,, tbh,, i would rather be in Espania on a motor bike or a mountain bike, ( even road bike ) spent 6 weeks there on my harley and with my wife this year,, love it there,,, that road from San Pedro up to Ronda is fantastic ( even on a Harley !! ) or especially in my mates bar in Limera de Libar ( 20 k south of Ronda !!! )
I haven't been up your way and I'm sure there are beautiful places. But I have to agree with ya, I really like Spain =) But I definitely have to visit you guys. At least for factory tours around man of Isle whiskey distilleries.
sad ( ish ) story,, guy from your place came over here ( britain ) for bike tour this week but his bike broke down on first day , so he hired a car,, ( best thing cos rained all week here anyway ) , his bike is repaired and ready for him now,, but , yes , scotland great place to visit,, but always rain,,just go up Pyranees instead ..
