Villa

  1. Sorry ET is a disagree from me on this one, he is a very special talent with a lot as yet untapped. In the right team he could become one of the very best and I reckon only two teams would allow his talent to come through, being Man City and Liverpool, and he would be an excellent fit at Leicester too. They think very highly of him in the football community.

If he keeps on the right track the world is his oyster.

  2. Definitely disagree. He only looks good at Villa because the others are rank average.

  3. And what about when he performs for England?

  4. He must only play with average players?

  5. You shine against your opponents, it’s even more difficult if the players around you are average!

  6. Can't agree there mate, with either of those. Villa don't need the money and Grealish is bloody brilliant, end of. I think most Villa supporters would understand if he left for silverware, a lot will depend on our dealings in the summer transfer window. If he goes to City he will be a bit part player, stay at Villa, remian Captain, play every week and he's made the England Squad. Hmmmmm.

  7. Apologies I wasn’t replying to ET, as I stated earlier post#60 is where I sit on the Grealish is average opinion.

I’d hope he stays at Villa as did Shearer at Newcastle, unless I’ve missed the fact it a done deal?

  8. Let’s agree to wait and see.

  9. Agree. Still think he’s average but if Man City come waving £100m then villa should take it.

  10. And everyone is a Grealish expert. I’ve watched him break into the first team, carry it through 2 seasons in the championship, which is a difficult league, then, carry it through 2 seasons in the Premier league. The 10 or so games without him we looked like relegation fodder again. If he went to city for £100m plus then fair enough if Pep is there. I’ll not forgive him if he chose the scousers!

Villa don’t need the money but for Jack to hit his potential and get silverware then a better manager than Dean Smith is required. Be sad to lose him tho.

  11. Did you go the Chelsea game mate? Great atmosphere, even with only 10,000 in.

  12. No, lucky you. I need to take my 11 year old tho next season. He’s really getting into football (just as I’m falling out with it) didn’t expect those last 2 wins although winning against Spurs wasn’t a massive surprise. My son read a rumour that Spurs May go after Watkins? I doubt we will sell him and as he’s an Arsenal fan I doubt he’d move sideways to Spurs

  13. Can imagine lots of rumours re Watkins/Grealish and Luiz. I'm hopeful we will keep all three. Of course Grealish and Watkins are the most important for me. I'd also like to see us sign Tammy on a permanent deal.

  14. Grealish is decent. He could become a really great player. But, he could hold himself back. I dont think he has the single minded dedication personally. Outside life distracts him. He will in all likelyhood become a top class player. Its up to him whether he becomes world class. He has potential, but thats all he has atm. Potential.

  15. I’m not convinced on Tammy. Don’t see Jack getting lots of game time at city with DeBruyne and fodden.
Need to keep all 3 and add some more proper players if the Villa are to progress.
All depends on the owners and how much Villa have lost due to Covid I suppose.

  17. Allegedly his recent spell on the sidelines was not all football related.
