Waterproof Bag - Luggage

  1. Hmm...Camping you say ?? Sleeping 1mm from the cold mud with nylon to protect you from the elements ??
Erm....... No No No !!! :D

  2. I tend more to the holiday cottage school of thought these days unless I know the weather is going to be good. A week under canvas in the middle of a dependable heat wave is very pleasant indeed if you've got a nice spot and the barbie's fired up every night. Its B&B's or a pub if its a one night stopover.
I might take a skeleton camping kit to Scotland and pitch for one night anywhere that's flat and relatively free of thistles and sheep shit so I can take two days to ride the NC 500. Accommodation is very hard to come by up there now unless you've booked months in advance. I don't want to tie myself to doing that run on a particular day. I'm there for a fortnight in a nice little stone cottage with a telly, hot water and a barbie on the patio so I'll choose my rides on the day depending on the weather.

  9. @Gimlet Do the Enduristan bags come with fixing straps as standard?

  10. No, don't think so. My pair of 20L didn't, though I did buy them as part of the Motonaut harness kit.
A pair of Rok straps is the best bet.

  11. Yeah, some of the listings I had seen mentioned ROK straps, but I couldn't see any mention of them being included.

I'll take a look. :upyeah: They don't seem too expensive.

  12. I’ve just bought two bags and straps are not included. The Rok straps are available on their website which I also bought. Haven’t tried them out yet but the quality looks great.

  13. Rok straps are great. I’ve a couple that I keep on the bike at all times.

  14. Another thumbs up for the Enduristan. I did a short video review here as I rode 5000miles across Europe with one.

Givi looks good and the Touratech ones are ok too. I had an Oxford which I wouldn't really recommend. Harder material so not as workable, which for such a bag you do need when cramming stuff in, and for the air to seep out when you roll it easier.

  15. I almost forgot, when I went to buy my heated grips at the weekend, my friendly dealer is also a Givi dealer and gives me a good discount. So I ordered one of these.

Hopefully with the 2 x 25L side panniers of the Hyperstrada, it'll be enough. I do have some additional Kriega bags too though.
