I started out as an architect; prostituted myself into property development and construction, but got sidelined into working for the UK Govt; then went back into development - got fed up with it and started my own company (which I ran for twenty years or so) which had two disciplines, one being site and buildings security; the other in architectural illustration. Finally retired because I overdid the work - now I do sod all other than being at the beck and call of Mrs Arq to get tops of jars and wire up plugs (FFS). Oh, and today it was spend an hour to find her TV remote control - which she just so happened to take shopping in her handbag. Nobody seems to understand why I tell her to file all documents and important things under 'F'.
