  2. You can have that sort of fun with tech versions.
Though not sure my wife liked me calling her favourite TV channel ‘Julie’s crap’ on the programmable remote.

  4. I'm an old-school , low-tech kind of person .

    Sat Nav ? ..... No thanks .
I've got a brain and some maps ( but they are getting a bit ragged now )
Don't really care where I end up , only the journey matters to me

As for CAN-Bus electrics .... it's the work of Satan :imp:

  6. Have to agree with that, I fitted a stereo to a car with can-bus. Complete nightmare.

  7. It certainly annoys the hell out of me , and I've been
an electronics / computer tech for more years than I care to count .

Manufacturers say : " It reduces copper wiring by up to 70 % "
I say : It forces people towards dealers , even if they have perfectly good
    auto-electrical skills .

I don't want it anywhere near me !

Call me old-fashioned if you want ...... :grinning:

  8. I don’t think it’s old fashioned, would be nice if it was all more user friendly.
At the rate it’s going service manuals will be one page with a list of dealers on
