"Red hair and black leather, my favourite colour scheme..." Ah yes, Mr Thompson certainly has good taste !
It's better to listen to Tapestry on Vinyl than to listen to Vinyl on Tapestry! Oh and Bob Dylan (on CD)
My sister bought this album in 1971 and I " borrowed it" in about 1974/5 and often listen to it so it sounds like it was recorded on Tapestry? I prefer Vinyl because with about 35% hearing in my left lug and no more than 60% in my right high quality CD recordings on expensive music systems are wasted on me - but my neighbours appreciate the scratches and imperfections!
Listening to WW2 Kriegsmarine marching songs at moment - the preferred choice of German UBoat Captains
Never a great fan of Frampton... Now Stevie Winwood, there was a voice, and he could play almost anything! Midland Maniac (and there's a few of them about!) was absolutely brilliant ('course it's only my opinion but I guarantee I'm right) lol
I read, years ago, that David Bowie didn't have a good stereo system, he always listened to music on an old Dansette record player because he wanted to know how his records sounded to 'the average fan'. I was into 'hifi' for a few years but it all got very silly when the cables started costing more than the speakers. I decided motorbikes were more fun (and cheaper) LOL.
Have a look at this: Even if you don't play the guitar, it's really interesting to see how a solo you probably know is done. In this particular case, it doesn't look at all easy. Doable, but it would be weeks of work to get it down.
