Google ‘ducati 749 yellow’ and a couple of facelifts come up. No S tho. Some old stock 04 749 got recalled by factory and redressed in facelift plastic and black arm. The red ones have silver frame/wheels giveaway.
TBH they’re a good bike. If it’s got the fancy bits then great, if not then enjoy it for what it is. Still a cracking and unique machine.
On the 749 and SS IE I agree. 916 and old SS I'm not sure. The rest need to be red. I keep seeing yellow 1098s on US sites, I guess they were offered there? Doesn't work so well. I do think the yellow works best on the 749 / 999, though.
