  1. Went for a lovely ride today 150 miles up around Dartmoor. Gave me a good chance to try the new ride height a suspension settings, it was fantastic set at 20mm gap under the rear wheel when on the centre stand it's turning in like a bike 30kg lighter . Stopped for fuel and didn't realise how windy the weather was, it still amazes me how the ST is so stable in the wind. I've never come across a bike like it.

Got home to find the end cap of the STD arrow can missing :-(
I love riding my ST4 but all the unexpected cost are dulling the experience.

  2. You know what, mines just turned up 47,000 miles and it's fantastic. Rode it this weekend and it still gave me a thrill. Time for a new rear tyre but you have to expect that.
I like the sound of the ride height adjustment.

  3. Don't get me wrong I love it. But I spent out on tyers and some bearing when I bought it.
Then it turned out that the fuel filter was blocked ( only reving to 7k ) I fixed that the extra power spat the clutch out shortly followed by the chain. I feel like it's running away with my wallet.

  4. It's okay...by the sound of it, it won't get far.
My 999 used to get back lighter than it set off on a regular basis? I was always checking nuts and bolts too .All of my st's have been great , latest has 38k on.

  5. I loved my Ducati but I've since heard more and more gripes about expenses and costs? They are beautiful and different - sort of 2 wheel Ferrari? Lovely but can involve big bills - it doesn't put me off at all but I think it's a major advantage of you can swing a spanner???
