It is a shade over the 200kg limit, but next time I am in Fowlers, I will try one out for weight, It 'won' the MCN group test that I just watched on YouTube.
I think that the last time that I went in Fowlers, I tried out a Triumph Speed 400. It was light and looked good, so I didn't feel the need to look any further. Although Fowlers sell Royal Enfield, when I was last there, they didn't have one in stock, so I have never seen one in the flesh. So, I think that my choice of Triumph Speed 400, Aprilia Tuano 457, and Royal Enfield Guarilla 450 still holds good. Nothing will happen until next year, anyway. I'm in no big rush.
I've ridden a 400 Speed. A Triumph dealer gave me one as a loan bike when the Rocket 3 GT I had at the time was in for some work. Talk about going from one extreme to another, but I actualy rather liked it. It zipped along very nicely, handled sharply and appeared very well made. I don't think it had 167 ft/lb of torque though.... The other weekend I came up behind a group of five blokes all riding 400 Scramblers. We ended up stopping at the same cafe and all the riders were in their fities and sixties and some of them quite big lads but they didn't look out of place on the little Triumphs, which don't look that little at all. They set up a perfectly respectable pace too. On the same day there was one of those Fantic Caballero 500 thingies in the carpark. In it's own way it looks as nice as the Triumphs, quite a neat bike in the metal, but too Chinesey for me.
They do a Strada version of the Diavel all geared up for touring although they don't come up for sale often. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/bike-d...IAVEL&postcode=ws111er&price-from=500&flrfc=1
The Fantic interested me. It is bit of a throwback to when I wa a tenager a long time back. The Fantic 50 was one of the fastest! Trouble is, when I looked, there are no Frantic dealers near me.
