  1. They do some great you tube clips on guitar/amp setups so you can at least sound like your favourite guitar master.

  3. I’ll join in.

I was a cellist in an orchestra from age 8-16.

I now play a bit of bass and have been in originals and covers bands for 30 years.

  5. OOI - The closest Ducati equivalent to Andertons is Neil at Cornerspeed for me. :upyeah:

  6. I’ve been playing guitar for over 30 years, have written a few songs and played for small gatherings. But mostly I find a song I like write it down and practice
    My wife plays the cello.

  7. Daughter learnt to play when she was much younger, a lack of true celloist instructors forced her to give up. Unfortunately a lot of Violinists turn their hand to the Cello and as my Daughter found to my cost they aren't always so good at it.

  8. I was bugle & fife major in a cadets marching band back in my teens (1960s). I was 'Duty bugler' for a couple of inspection visits by Lord Louis Mountbatten too. He seemed to be a very fine man:upyeah: Later in life I took up learning to play guitar and was progressing well until dermatitis wrecked my finger tips. I now have a couple of beautiful Gibsons that are just ornaments :pensive: I still can't read music

  10. Wow this was an old thread revival! Trying to remember what I’ve been doing since 2014! I went into playing in big bands/jazz bands for a while then gave up pretty much through lockdown. Then went back to playing cornet in brass bands and have moved a few times and now play with quite a decent band in Swindon, we are prepping for a competition in a few weeks at Torquay.
