Wooly46, Have you 'upgraded' the side-stand yet ? Following from advice on this forum I upgraded to a 1098 side-stand (bought from eBay) and am happy with the results to reduce the scary lean angle. I understand that a stand for a 848/1098/1198 all fit a 998 and similarly reduce the lean angle due to slightly increased length. The end pad also has a larger footprint, so reduces the digging effect. See other posts on this forum for more details. Thanks for sharing your good work.
I realise your brakes and forks are upgrades but your original pictures are of a standard biposto, not an "s". Is it a deep sump engine?
A few more jobs done, I’ve decided to get it back together now as the weather is improving slowly, still waiting for carbon from Spain unfortunately! Ready for fire up tomorrow, love annoying the neighbours
No not yet mate, it’s on my to do list when the carbon airbox and tubes turn up! I’ll be running different filters too so probably get it flashed at the dyno
I run a PCIII and JHP filters inside a 996R carbon air box and D.P carbon air tubes with the filter runners removed.
