1460. Failed I don’t see the point of the ones so reliant on random guesses. I had all but the first letter after three moves. Three remaining moves, five possibilities. Guessed wrong
If I'm in that situation, I find random words using 3 of the letter options. That way you are able to do it in the six guesses.
Not sure I understand. I had three moves left to find one letter. Four letters would have solved the puzzle - all consonants. At that stage, surely it’s just a guessing/gambling game - or am I missing something?
Say for example you had SPI_E with 3 guesses left, there are at least 5 options. I would perhaps try TONIC for my 4th guess, even though it's not the correct word, to find or eliminate 3 options, then go from there.
Once you’ve sorted out the vowels in the first two lines it’s all about patterns and probabilities. I also use sacrificial wrong word strategy to confirm letter placement, but you can only afford to do it once.
