As there's no WC thread already, I imagine not too many here are that bothered about football or the ultimate winners? It seems to have been going on for ages already. There were far too many teams in the group stages, whose fans were far better to watch than their teams. Harsh perhaps, but even to a football numpty like myself there is a massive difference between the levels of play. Anyhow it's finally down to the last eight. I've gradually become interested with the Messi vs Ronaldo, Rumps interference, Haaland willing Norway onward, Mbappe, and Ennngelluuuuuuunnd! Who do you think will win the cup?

Morocco are a fine side and no pushovers plus there is err... 'colonial' history between them & France which may add some extra spice to the game. And even if France do reach the final they're gonna get stuffed by England anyway.....
About your first point, I am pretty sure we are past that point now… . May be France should colonize Paraguay to instill some Gallic discipline to them lads. Your second point about England is waayyy more stimulating.
Hehehe... perhaps France has, but has Morocco? Australia raise their game 100% whenever they play England (at anything) and just love to beat us. All joking aside, and I do love the fast sweeping play of France, but they're not invincible. Conceded two in the group games (scored 10 mind) but England showed against Mexico how organised and disciplined they can be with flair & quality going forward when the moment allows.
It’s an absolute disgrayce how Brazil aren’t in the last 8 and Italy didn’t even qualify! Bloody Switzerland and Morocco, half of America couldn’t even point to them on a map!! France should and deserve to win it. Such a strong squad.
England have a habit of arriving late at the party and only turning it on only after they've come under pressure. Conceding and early goal and playing catch-up in the second half will be very dangerous with France and leave them with a mountain to climb. If England turn up and give 100% from the kick-off and get their nose ahead first they have a very good chance.
Yep, when you go behind to France and push more bodies forward you leave spaces behind that they are ruthless in exploiting with pace and three passes. But England showed against Mexico they are capable at being switched on from the start. However we need to get past Norway first.... ho hum.
England will need to beat Argentina to reach the final. I suspect that will motivate Argentina far more than Morocco will be against France.
