I have a bit put by. Not millions by any means, but if I did I'd still leave it to my Kids in a heartbeat. They would be what I bothered to earn it for (...oh...and me and Mrs Biscuit, of course).
Robert Maxwell, the rich publishing mogul, always said he would not leave any of his billions to his nine children. In the event he was telling the truth (unusually for him), since after his death in 1991 it turned out his businesses were insolvent as a result of his numerous frauds, so there was no money to leave. Whenever some wealthy celebrity announces they are not leaving money to their children, Maxwell's story pops into my mind.
Perhaps Sting's is only tantric money, not the real thing (his accountant nicked that) and by sitting cross legged and making ommmmm noises he's convinced himself he's getting more of it than he really is.
I can't recall the date of the quote but I thought it only related to his stance re his two sons. ( two of his nine children died in 1957/69 of course)
