I'll bet you're back out and about - riding too - before you ever thought possible. Take care & good luck .
Today is IT. Waiting for my slot-2nd on the list, so surgeon will have had a practice lap and should be up to speed. Looks like a quad bypass, but good news is no dicky heart valve complications. I’ll be back after I get out of ICU.
Dr Mahathir, PM of Malaysia is 94, has had two bypass interventions (the first 30 years ago) and still manages to run a country.
Well, in yesterday at 11, out to ICU at 5pm, resuscitated and detubated at 8. Sent from ICU to normal ward this am, ‘cos all docs happy. Unforthunately, lots of fluid from chest drain, and big fall of BP. So I had to guzzle gallons of fluid (well, litres) Monstrously disappointed that I couldn’t run up and down corridors. Have been resigned to getting up and sitting in bedside chair. At the mo it feels just like broken ribs or intercostal strain, so am on painkillers to suppress this to enable big breaths and coughs. Today, bedside chair, tomorrow the world! PS morphine really screws up your head.
Nothing wrong with being honest bud, It's a biggie, just glad to see your working through it and things are on the up. If you want a chuckle, read chiz, my part in europes downfall tour Much mirth to be had whilst you sit and relax https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/and-im-off-i-really-am-this-time.69954/
Remember hoard your pain killers.... sell em to Chiz when you get out... he eats em like smarties with Red wine....... makes him a little mad.
Back home! Phew. Now just 5 weeks before I can ride or drive! I’ll be praying for foul weather for the next five weeks. Sorry
