It's got rivet holes where a plaque used to be on the top yoke. It has a few tasteless issues that need correcting
It does indeed and corrected they will be, the minute I get it home, particularly if it is an R! Frame bungs anyone?
Blimey @JoeC I remember you buying that bike blind months ago, if it was the one that came up on eBay and appeared to be a bit of Bitsa but had enough sellable bits (CF wheels, Ohlins, Clutch, rear sets, etc.) to make the risk worthwhile. Was it that bike? I can't wait to see how the story unfolds.
Yes that’s the one. I bought it just before Xmas and such is my life that yesterday was the first day I have even seen it. I am picking it up at the ends of the month so time will tell!
I don’t know, as above. I hadn’t even seen it until yesterday. A lot of them were stolen like ‘80’s VW badges!
I managed to grab a couple of hrs from work this afternoon (back 1 day) and pull the fairings off the 748. As can be seen, smooth cast casings, no shower injectors, build date ‘99, lots of trick bits and an engine number that confirms it’s a 748 at least. Any ideas please anyone? TIA!
to paint the frame it has obviously been completely apart so it could be anything or a mix of everything....but no shower inj no R, no two piece air box no R.....do the frame numbers and engine numbers match up with the log book... what registration do you have you can check some of it on line...pm me if you want ill do it and pm you back.
also the engine number should have an R after zdm748R not W ...which standing for a lot of things W is a base engine... still, its got samco hoses....
Hiya, no need to PM, happy in the public domain. ZDM748S002063 / N742PNL Those are from the docs. I can’t see the frame no. on the headstock, but it will probably be visible once I have the forks off! TVM
